About Me

Dear readers, I am very glad to welcome you on the first and the only blog devoted to travelling in Baku differently and general hints on this matter. Why differently? Because there are already too many sources about general traveling routes and Sights. I will do my best to bypass the repeatedly trampled locations, writing about only the interesting places not yet covered.

Also, if you are not a traveler at all but for some reason will have to spend a night in our city, you can check the Tips & Hints page for general data in which I've additionally covered necessary information (for example: bargaining, crime and etc) you will hardly find in any other official web page.

Transport Means and Maps pages will help you not get lost and also save time in case of emergencies (for example: 24 hour convenience stores, police office, drug stores, currency exchange points).

I will also include some travel articles covering other regions of Azerbaijan but mainly this blog will be devoted to city of Baku. I was born and raised in this city and believe me, for a traveler there is no better navigator than a local who has lived here for 30 years.

PS: in case you need Baku related information you can't find anywhere on the web, please do not hesitate to contact me via: tbagirli@hotmail.com.

DOING BUSINESS WITH ME:

Also, I have been working as a private tour guide for more than six years now. I've worked with different people from around the world and thus, I am well acquainted with various cultures. Recently, I've been visiting different tourism conventions around the world (so far: ITE Hong Kong 2014 / ITB Berlin 2015 / JATA Tokyo 2015 / WTM London 2015). If you ever happen to plan a tour to our country, I will be glad to work with you. Just write me an email (please write "private tour" in the subject line) and give a short explanation of what exactly you are interested in and I will prepare an interesting program for you in less than 48 hours. I can also handle transportation means if necessary. I have two private cars (sedan and SUV)  suitable for different sights and routes. Also, in case of group tours I can arrange comfortable minivans (Mercedes Vito: 4 to 6 passengers / Mercedes Sprinter: up to 15 passengers) and buses (Mercedes Travego - up to 46 passengers). Usually I don't deal with accommodation booking because it is up to the client to choose which hotel (or motel or a guest house) is better for him (or her). Nevertheless, please feel free to ask questions about any hotels you are interested in. I have both positive and negative feedbacks (from my clients) about any hotel. Same situation about meals, please do not hesitate to ask questions about restaurants. In case you are allergic to any food or in case you are vegetarian or eat only halal or kosher, I can recommend good restaurants for you.

So why would you want to work with me? Good question, and the answers are:

- Customer Satisfaction first
- Safe arrival - safe journey - safe departure
- Good food & comfortable ride
- 100% assistance & 100% devotion to work
- no pre-payment

If you to want to book a private (or group) tour please send me an email letter to tbagirli@hotmail.com with approximate number of days you are planning to spend in Azerbaijan and I will send you various interesting itineraries.

Thank you friends and good luck!
